The AKG C214 Condenser Microphone is a professional large diaphragm mic. It offers a supreme 1” capsule on an integrated suspension to reduce the mechanical noise. The AKG C214 uses the same one inch dual capsule as the legendary C414 condenser microphone in a single diaphragm cardioid-onl;y design. This delivers outstanding, detailed, up-front sound for both voices and instruments.
The AKG C214 Condenser Microphone is capable of an impressive 143Db dynamic range for uncompressed, natural transients. If you want a premium instrument mic, the AKG C214 performs well on a variety of instruments. With a switchable 20dB attenuation pad and low-cut filter, the C214 can be used in sound fields as high as 156dB SPL – you can use it onstage for close miking loud applications such as drum overheads, guitar amps, or high-output brass.
